A number of new stores, flagship stores, and concept stores have been opened, injecting new vitality into the consumer market. Beijing launched the "Concentrated New Season" event, while Guangzhou and Tianjin held the "Fashion Guangzhou" and "Jinmen Fashion Show" for premium product launches, respectively. At the recently concluded 7th China International Import Expo, new products, technologies, and services were unveiled, including multiple global firsts, Asian first exhibitions, and Chinese debuts.
Second, commodity consumption grew steadily. Local governments, in collaboration with relevant industry associations, organized retail enterprises such as supermarkets, shopping malls, and outlet stores to carry out various consumer-friendly activities, stimulating market vitality. According to monitoring by the Ministry of Commerce's big data, in the first ten days of the month, sales of home appliances, communication equipment, and clothing by key retail enterprises increased by %, %, and % respectively, with some time-honored brand products seeing sales double. The trade-in policy continued to exert its influence; by the end of the month, applications for vehicle scrappage subsidies reached . million, while applications for replacement subsidies exceeded . million, with . million consumers purchasing . million units of major home appliances. On key e-commerce platforms, categories such as range hoods and gas stoves led in growth.
Thirdly, service consumption is brimming with vitality. Various regions have organized service consumption seasons, Chinese cuisine festivals, hotpot food festivals, international art festivals, and other events to expand high-quality supply, innovate consumption scenarios, and meet the personalized and diverse needs of consumers. According to relevant institution data, sales in catering, accommodation, leisure, and entertainment have increased by over 10% in the first ten days of the month.
Four is the vigorous development of new forms of consumption. Digital, green, intelligent, and healthy new forms of consumption are highly favored. Some enterprises have seen sales of energy-saving washer-dryers, fresh air air conditioners, smart robotic vacuum cleaners, water-saving dishwashers, and action cameras increase by more than 100% year-on-year; some enterprises have utilized artificial intelligence technology to create immersive consumption scenarios such as smart fitting rooms and digital experience centers, better responding to consumers' personalized needs.
