On March 28, National Energy Group held the commencement meeting of the first batch of key projects (four provinces and regions) in 2024, announcing the centralized commencement of 80 key projects with a total investment of 400 billion yuan, including 61 new energy projects, 3 coal projects, 1 heating project, 3 chemical projects and 4 transportation projects.

These key projects that have been started in a concentrated manner are distributed in Xinjiang, Qinghai, Hebei, Ningxia and other provinces, involving 26 subsidiaries. They have large investment volume, strong demonstration, and sufficient driving force. They are more prominent in meeting the requirements of the development of new quality productivity and are of great significance to serving the national strategy, focusing on regional development, deepening industrial synergy, highlighting innovation leadership, and building demonstration projects.

Among them, the Hami infrastructure under construction this time will undertake the project of Xinjiang Hami Energy Integration and Innovation Base. The Xinjiang Hami Energy Integration and Innovation Base project is a modern comprehensive energy industrialization demonstration base planned by the National Energy Group to ensure national energy security and implement the important strategy of national coal-to-oil distribution. It can actively promote the high-end, diversified and low-carbon development of the company's coal chemical industry. The comprehensive energy demonstration projects of the "two joint ventures" in Bozhou, Xinjiang, including 1.32 million kilowatts of installed coal power and the first batch of 600000 kilowatts of photovoltaic installed capacity, are the first batch of demonstration projects to be incorporated into the preliminary implementation plan of the national "two joint ventures". It will effectively improve the energy supply structure in Xinjiang. Qinghai Tongde pumped storage power station, including a pumped storage unit of 2.4 million kilowatts, can also be equipped with 7 million kilowatts of new energy. Using the reservoir of Maerzhang Hydropower Station as the lower reservoir can significantly increase the scale of regulation power supply in Qinghai Province and promote the development of local new energy. The new energy project of "Green Port hydrogen City" in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, including photovoltaic installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts and supporting 50, 000-ton green ammonia and green hydrogen facilities, is the third batch of Shage wasteland base projects in the country. Large-scale integrated bases of green energy, green chemical industry and green port have been built in the central and eastern regions. Ningxia Daba Power Plant is an intelligent central heating project in Yinchuan, with a heat supply of 15.64 million gigabytes per year and a heating distance of 75 kilometers, which is the first integrated heating project of load and storage in the network source station in China. it will play a positive role in solving the heating demand of Yinchuan and improving the local environmental quality.
