He has served as the Head of the Technical Department at Ansteel's No. 3 Steelmaking Plant, a Senior Visiting Scholar at a Canadian university, the Deputy Head of the Technology Department at Ansteel New Steel Company, the Plant Manager of Ansteel's No. 1 Steelmaking Plant, the Deputy Manager of Ansteel's Bayuquan Branch, the Head of the Science and Technology Development Department at Ansteel Group Corporation, and the Deputy General Manager of Ansteel Corporation, among other positions.

Current positions include: Party Secretary of Liaoning University of Science and Technology, Council Member of the Chinese Society for Metals, Deputy Director of the Steelmaking Branch of the Chinese Society for Metals, Chairman of the Steel Sheet and Strip Sub-Technical Committee of the National Technical Committee on Steel Standards, and People's Congress Representative of Anshan City.
