The first pouring of the two main piers of the Chongqi Gongtie Yangtze River Bridge was completed.

从中国铁路上海局集团有限公司获悉, On March 27, the world's largest span, twin towers, double cable planes, highway-rail dual-purpose ballastless track cable-stayed bridge-the first pouring of the No. 3 and No. 4 main piers of the Chongqi Gongtie Yangtze River Bridge was completed, and significant progress was made in the foundation construction of the bridge.

It is reported that the Chongqi Highway-Railway Yangtze River Bridge has a total length of 4.09 kilometers and spans the northern branch channel of the Yangtze River estuary. It is constructed as a double-layered highway-railway dual-use bridge. The No. 3 main pier and No. 4 main pier of the bridge are the south main tower foundation and the north main tower foundation respectively, and are both designed to be double-walled steel cofferdam structures. The construction of the pile cap is carried out in the cofferdam. The plane size of the pile cap is 71.271 meters ×43.45 meters, the height is 7.5 meters, and the area is equivalent to the size of 7 standard basketball courts. A total of more than 2050 tons of steel bars and 16,500 cubic meters of concrete are required. This construction is the first pouring operation of the cap platform, with a total of 6370 cubic meters of concrete poured and a pouring height of 2.5 meters. In order to ensure the construction quality of the cap platform, the project department adopts large-volume concrete construction technology during the construction process, and the construction is divided into three times from bottom to top.

The Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway is the eastern section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway and an important part of the high-speed railway channel along the Yangtze River in the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. The Chongqi Railway Yangtze River Bridge is a controlling node project for the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway. It is constructed and managed by the Shanghai-Hangzhou Passenger Dedicated Railway Company and constructed by the China Railway Bridge Bureau. After the completion of the project, it will be useful to optimize the layout of the railway network along the Yangtze River and serve the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
