The People's Procuratorate of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has filed charges alleging that from year to year, the defendant Wang Yilin, taking advantage of his positions as Deputy Party Secretary and President of the Exploration and Development Research Institute of the Xinjiang Petroleum Administration Bureau, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Xinjiang Petroleum Administration Bureau, Party Secretary and General Manager of the Xinjiang Oilfield Branch of PetroChina Company Limited, Party Leadership Group Member and Deputy General Manager of China National Petroleum Corporation, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of China National Petroleum Corporation, provided assistance to related individuals in job adjustments, project contracting, and business operations. From year to year, Wang Yilin directly or through others accepted bribes totaling more than RMB million yuan. The procuratorial organ has requested that Wang Yilin be held criminally responsible for the crime of accepting bribes. During the trial, the procuratorial organ presented relevant evidence, and the defendant Wang Yilin and his defense counsel cross-examined the evidence. Both the prosecution and the defense fully expressed their opinions under the court's supervision. Wang Yilin made a final statement and expressed his guilt and remorse in court. At the end of the trial, the court announced a recess and will announce the verdict at a later date.

More than twenty people, including deputies to the People's Congress, members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and representatives from various sectors of the public, attended the court hearing as observers.
