Beijing has been approved to establish a national metrology data construction and application base in the field of autonomous driving.

Today (March 27), we learned from the Beijing City Market Supervision Bureau that the State Administration of Market Supervision approved Beijing City to build a national measurement data construction application base (autonomous driving) based on the application scenarios of the high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone.

Autonomous driving is a typical representative of the global automotive strategic transformation direction and new productivity, and will profoundly change future travel and smart city governance. Beijing City leads the global industrial trend and deeply implements the "China Plan" for intelligent connected vehicles that integrates vehicles, roads and clouds. The rapid integrated development of industries has brought explosive growth in data volume. Measurement data is all kinds of raw data and generated data generated in measurement activities. It is traceable and credible. It is an important basic strategic resource of the country and a new factor of production. Ensuring the basis for accurate data magnitude, data security, and standardizing data, and effectively using measurement data will provide important technical basic support for helping to develop new quality productivity.

Up to now, the Beijing City High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone has issued road test qualifications to more than 800 vehicles from 29 test vehicle companies. The autonomous driving test mileage has exceeded 25 million kilometers, realizing the comprehensive open and coordinated development of eight types of urban application scenarios, including intelligent connected passenger vehicles, intelligent connected buses, unmanned connection, unmanned distribution, and trunk logistics, providing a total of more than 11.6 million normalized travel and life services, accumulating vehicle-end perception, roadside perception, Massive data such as signal control and travel services.

Based on measurement data to empower industrial development, urban governance and people's livelihood services, the base will be based on roadside data provided by video equipment, sensor equipment, etc. and vehicle-side data obtained by autonomous vehicles through measurement equipment such as sensors and cameras. Analysis and processing provide accurate and reliable data support for the training and verification of autonomous driving algorithm models, and promote the continuous optimization and improvement of autonomous driving technology. Form a new type of value transfer and traceability system in the field of autonomous driving based on blockchain technology. At the same time, a typical standard scenario library is established through data analysis and mining, a vehicle autonomous driving information measurement data system and a safety active protection system integrating vehicles, roads and clouds are built, an autonomous driving data set and a simulation scenario database are established, and the construction and application of the vehicle autonomous driving data system are promoted. Ensure safer, efficient and intelligent autonomous driving.

The Beijing City Market Supervision Bureau will organize various tasks in the construction of the docking base, provide measurement technical support, promote the construction of high-standard bases, and serve the high-quality development of the autonomous driving industry.
