Qinhuangdao illegally modified "black cruise ship" and the ship owner and relevant responsible persons were controlled by the public security organs.

On the afternoon of April 13, a ship rollover accident occurred in the Qinglong River waters of Taolinkou Village, Liujiaying Township, Lulong County, Qinhuangdao City. After on-site search and rescue and preliminary verification, 31 tourists fell into the water in the accident. All of them have been found and sent to the hospital. Among them, 12 people died after being rescued, 10 people were treated in the hospital without life threatening, and 9 people have returned home safely.

After the accident, Hebei Province established an accident investigation team to investigate and identify the cause, nature, and responsibility of the accident. The Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has launched relevant accountability work.

After preliminary investigation, on April 13, 155 tourists from Tangshan City took three buses organized by travel agencies and had lunch near Taolinkou Village. Among them, 31 tourists went to the Qinglong River waters downstream of Taolinkou Reservoir and rolled over and fell into the water while riding illegally operated sightseeing boats.

At present, the ship owner and relevant responsible personnel have been controlled by the public security organs.
