中央纪委国家监委网站今日（4月2日）下午消息：Tang Yijun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the CPPCC Jiangxi Province, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.

According to the official website of the Jiangxi Province CPPCC, Tang Yijun, male, Han nationality, born in March 1961, a graduate student of the Central Party School, and a member of the Communist Party of China. His public resume shows that Tang Yijun had worked in Zhejiang for a long time. From starting work in July 1977 to being transferred in 2017, he worked in Zhejiang for 40 years. He has served successively as Secretary-General of the Zhoushan Municipal Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Zhoushan Municipal Party Committee, Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Province Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Zhejiang Province Commission for Discipline Inspection.

In January 2011, Tang Yijun became chairman and party secretary of the Ningbo City CPPCC. In February 2016, Liu Qi, then secretary of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee, was transferred to Jiangxi. In March, Lu Ziyue, then mayor of Ningbo City, was investigated. Ningbo's top party and government leaders are both vacant. In April, Tang Yijun served as deputy secretary and acting mayor of Ningbo Municipal Party Committee. In August, he served as member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee.

In 2017, Tang Yijun left Zhejiang and traveled across provinces to Liaoning to become the "top leader" of the provincial government. At the end of April 2020, Tang Yijun was transferred to the post of Minister of Justice. It is understood that in March 2018, the national institutional reform, the responsibilities of the Ministry of Justice and the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council were integrated, and the Ministry of Justice was re-established. Tang Yijun is the second minister of the new Ministry of Justice after the institutional reform.

In January last year, Tang Yijun was appointed Party Secretary and Chairman of the Jiangxi Province CPPCC.

According to Jiangxi Daily, Tang Yijun also had public activities on March 22. On the same day, the 3rd Provincial Party Committee Theoretical Study Center Group in 2024 studied collectively, focusing on the theme of "Strict Party Discipline and Implementation of Work", carrying out warning education, and deepening discussions and exchanges. At the study meeting, everyone watched a special warning educational video together. The report mentioned that Tang Yijun attended the meeting.
