The Russian General Prosecutor's Office expressed the hope that the above-mentioned countries will seriously consider Russia's request, fulfill their obligations under the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings and the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, and conduct investigations into the information provided by Russia., in order to assist in obtaining evidence needed for litigation, ensure that criminal acts are punished due, and not justify criminal acts on political or other grounds.

The "Nord Stream" natural gas pipeline runs directly from Russia to Germany via the Baltic Sea to transport gas to Europe. On September 26, 2022, the pipeline exploded, leaking a large amount of natural gas. The investigation found that three of the four pipelines leaked, with a total of four leakage points located in the waters near Sweden and Denmark. After the incident, Denmark, Sweden and Germany launched separate investigations, but refused Russia's participation. In February this year, Sweden and Denmark announced the end of the investigation. Germany said it would continue its investigation.
