According to the National Energy Administration website, on March 25, the National Energy Administration released national electricity industry statistics for January and February. By the end of February, the nation's cumulative power generating capacity was approximately 2.97 billion kW, an increase of 14.7% year-over-year. Of this, solar power generating capacity was approximately 650 million kW, an increase of 56.9% year-over-year; wind power generating capacity was approximately 450 million kW, an increase of 21.3% year-over-year.

From January to February, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment nationwide was 563 hours, a decrease of 6 hours from the same period last year. Among them, wind power was 373 hours, a decrease of 27 hours from the same period last year; solar power generation was 168 hours, a decrease of 14 hours from the same period last year; thermal power was 763 hours, an increase of 44 hours from the same period last year; nuclear power 1216 hours, an increase of 7 hours from the same period last year; hydropower 369 hours, an increase of 5 hours from the same period last year.

During the Jan-Feb period, the national major power generation enterprises completed investment of 76.1 billion yuan in power source engineering, up 8.3% year on year. The completed investment in grid engineering amounted to 32.7 billion yuan, an increase of 2.3% year on year.
