Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning announced on April 12:

At the invitation of Premier Li Qiang of the State Council, German Chancellor Scholz will pay an official visit to China from April 14 to 16.

Scholz visited China in November 2022. According to a previous report by the Global Times, the German economic community is closely watching Scholz's visit to China, and senior German companies are competing fiercely for seats in the delegation visiting China on the same plane.

According to reports, top German corporate executives have joined Scholz's trip to China despite the voice of "risk reduction", highlighting China's status as Germany's largest trading partner.

Some people in the German business community said that it is unrealistic to "decouple" from China and believe that the biggest risk comes from "separating from China."
