Gong Zheng said that Sino-US relations are one of the most important bilateral relations in the world. Shanghai and San Francisco play an important role in Sino-US relations. San Francisco is also Shanghai's first American friend city. Since the two cities were established in 1980, exchanges have been active and fruitful. Currently, Shanghai is accelerating the construction of a modern socialist international metropolis with world influence and is looking forward to further strengthening cooperation with San Francisco to achieve a higher level of mutual benefit and win-win results. San Francisco has a gathering of well-known universities, scientific research institutions and technology companies, and is at the forefront of artificial intelligence, life sciences and other fields. We hope to promote cooperation and exchanges between universities and scientific research institutions in the two places. We welcome San Francisco enterprises to make good use of the CIIE platform and actively invest in Shanghai. We also encourage outstanding Shanghai companies to invest in San Francisco. At the same time, San Francisco is the place where Chinese Americans gather most, and Shanghai is also the city where Americans gather most in China.
