Accelerate energy transformation

Jiangbei New District is an important growth pole for Nanjing's economic development and the main battlefield of the "double carbon" operation. In January 2021, China's first smart new energy supply system river water source heat pump project-"River Water Air Conditioning" was put into use in Jiangbei New Area. The surging river water has become energy used for building heating in winter and indoor cooling in summer. This is currently the largest renewable energy centralized cooling and heating project in China. After the project is fully put into operation, it is expected to save 140 million kilowatt-hours of electricity every year, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 56,000 households. As the first unit to use "Jiangshui Air Conditioning", Jiangbei New District Service Trade Building saves 30% of electricity costs compared with traditional air conditioners.

In Jiangbei New District, there is also a "breathing" building-Jiangbei New District Talent Apartment Community Service Center. With wood as the bone and photovoltaic as the roof, the service center is currently the largest prefabricated wood structure "zero-carbon building" in Jiangsu. "Hundreds of photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the building generate about 270,000 kilowatt-hours of green electricity every year." Tan Jin, assistant general manager of Nanjing Power Supply Company and general manager of Jiangbei New Area Power Supply Company, introduced that by building a DC microgrid, all lighting, air conditioning and other electricity needs in the building can consume clean energy locally, and can also store surplus electricity for use in surrounding neighborhoods.

Green factories are an important manifestation of promoting the implementation of the "double carbon" goal. Developing new energy is the only way, and the key technology for new energy applications is energy storage. On February 1, 2024, the energy storage power station project of Nanjing Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. with an installed capacity of 61 MW/123 MWh was completed and connected to the grid. This is the user-side energy storage project with the largest single power in China. It is also an advanced domestic application. The largest industrial and commercial energy storage project of the cascade energy storage system can cut the peak peak and fill the valley to transfer the peak electricity load of approximately 80 million kilowatts every year, effectively helping the Nangang plant to provide sufficient energy.

Bulao Village is located in the hinterland of Laoshan National Forest Park, Jiangpu Street, Pukou District, with a good ecological environment. In 2019, Nanjing Power Supply Company explored and built an innovative model of "photovoltaic + micro-grid" in Bulao Village to solve farm power supply problems and achieve the demonstration effect of innovative projects. The microgrid system is constructed from a network of distributed photovoltaics, wind power generation systems, energy storage systems, various loads and other electrical units. On April 30, 2020, the microgrid system of the Bulaocun Ecological Farm was officially completed and put into operation. The installed capacity of photovoltaics is 40 kilowatts, and the wind turbine is 2.6 kilowatts. The average annual power generation is about 35,100 kilowatt hours. It can save 11.04 tons of standard coal and reduce emissions by 33.44 tons of carbon dioxide every year.

Light up the road to rural revitalization

In 2019, in response to the actual situation of large-scale load transfer in Jiangbei New Area, Nanjing Power Supply Company took the initiative to contact the local government and combined the blueprint and plan for the development of beautiful villages to formulate a reasonable rural power grid upgrade and transformation plan. A total of 130 transformers were increased and replaced. 49,100 KVA, 275 power distribution equipment and more than 224.5 kilometers of low-voltage lines were renovated, effectively improving power quality and benefiting more than 4133 rural residents. Let high-quality electricity "light up" the beautiful countryside.

The digital economy is gradually becoming the core force leading a new round of industrial transformation. Nanjing Power Supply Company regards digitalization as the entry point for high-quality promotion of rural revitalization strategy, integrates power grid construction into digital rural development planning and construction, actively promotes the construction of rural electrification and digital power supply stations, and achieves intelligent business operations, efficient on-site operations, and accurate services. The company has completed the renovation of 1180 rural low-voltage station areas in Jiangbei New District, benefiting more than 108,000 farmers.

In Qiaolin, we assisted Nanjing Qiaofeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. in building a digital integrated technology greenhouse with more than 4488 square meters and an annual output of 90 to 120 tons to meet the electricity needs of the Plant Dream Factory; in Yongning, we successively increased the capacity of shrimp breeding base. 9 transformers and 1800 kVA, upgraded and renovated 15229 meters of low-voltage lines and 120 square millimeters of insulated wires, promoting the "Yongning Shrimp" towards digital breeding; In Xingdian, a plan to upgrade and transform the power grid was prepared in a rolling manner, increasing the capacity of 19 transformers and 5460 kVA, and upgrading and renovating more than 26.93 kilometers of low-voltage power supply lines. At the same time, pole and line cables in the village distribution and transformation station area were integrated into the ground. 3 ring network cabinets, 7 branch boxes, and more than 2500 meters of cables were installed. The use of full grid electricity to protect small tea leaves to achieve a large industry.

At the beginning of 2022, Qiaolin Street will build more than 4248 acres of ecological high-standard farmland projects in Lanhuatang Community. After receiving the application for relocation and renovation of the power supply facilities of this project, the company quickly organized personnel to inspect the site and formulate a plan for relocation and renovation of the power supply facilities. After 16 days of continuous fighting, a total of 115 towers and more than 6.362 kilometers of conductors were demolished, 98 towers and more than 8.881 kilometers of conductors were erected, and 3 transformers, 3 distribution cabinets, and 6 column circuit breakers were relocated and installed., ensuring power supply for food safety production.
