According to the Shanghai Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision: Recently, with the approval of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Shanghai Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has filed a case for review and investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Gao Yiyi, the former deputy secretary of the Baoshan District Committee and the former district head of Baoshan District.

Upon investigation, Gao Yiyi, as a Party member and leading cadre, lost his ideals and convictions, deviated from the original mission, exhibited poor political conduct, maliciously interfered with the work of the discipline inspection and supervision organs through improper means, slandered and framed discipline inspection and supervision cadres, causing serious adverse political impacts; violated the spirit of the Eight-point Decision of the Central Committee, accepted gifts inappropriately, and participated in banquets and travel arrangements that could affect the impartial execution of official duties; disregarded organizational discipline, obsessed with official status, fabricated employment records and forged personal archives, failed to report personal matters as required; lost the bottom line of integrity, did not correct his spouse's illegal business operations; violated life discipline, neglected family values, failed to manage and educate his spouse, indulged in moral degradation; used his position to seek benefits for others, and illegally accepted property from others.

Gao Yiyi seriously violated the Party's discipline, constituted serious duty misconduct, and was suspected of bribery, showing no restraint or cessation even after the 18th National Congress of the Party. His actions were of a serious nature and caused恶劣影响, warranting serious handling. According to the "Regulations on Disciplinary Sanctions of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," the "Public Servant Disciplinary Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China," and other relevant regulations, after deliberation by the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Party and approval by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection reporting to the Central Committee of the Party, it was decided to expel Gao Yiyi from the Party; the Shanghai Supervisory Commission decided to dismiss him from public office; his representative qualifications at the 12th Party Congress of Shanghai and the 8th Party Congress of Baoshan District were terminated; his illegal gains were confiscated; his suspected criminal issues were transferred to the procuratorial organs for legal review and prosecution, with the related assets also transferred.
