"Hold on! We're almost in China!"
"Hold on! We're almost in China..." This shout from Zhang Sheng, a border police officer at the Yunnan port, topped the trending list on Weibo.
Recently, a Chinese man was involved in a car accident abroad, resulting in an intracranial hemorrhage, and urgently needs to be transported back to China for emergency treatment.
Zhang Sheng, captain of the first team on duty at Daluo Border Inspection Station in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, immediately contacted the joint inspection departments at Daluo Port to open emergency channels after receiving help from the families of the injured.
"Just wanted to update you on something—his son was in a car accident last night. I’ll handle their paperwork first, so the ambulance can take him straight away once it arrives!"
"Flag platform, flag platform (referring to the vehicle guidance post). When the ambulance from Daluo Health Center arrives later, let it in right away—the situation is a bit urgent. If there are other vehicles queued up when they arrive, direct them to make way and let the ambulance enter first."
In the video taken by the law enforcement recorder, Zhang Sheng has been communicating with various departments, speaking quickly but thinking clearly. He and his colleagues tried every means to obtain valuable rescue opportunities for the injured. After the police quickly coordinated the entire transfer and rescue process, it only took minutes.
Throughout the process, he also made sure to comfort the injured and their families, offering encouragement to his fellow countrymen: "Hang in there! We're almost in China! Help is on the way!"
"Though we can't see your faces, we know you're always there." This brief second-long video has moved countless netizens, who have flooded the comments section with likes and tributes.
"Minutes to complete the transfer and rescue—this is the people's police! This is China's speed!" "'Hold on'—these two words carry immense weight. With the motherland behind you, as long as you hold on, dawn will surely come, and life will find a turning point!" "Life above all, for the people! Salute!"
Salute to the people's police! Salute to the guardians of our nation's borders! Thank you for your protection!
