It has an autonomous battery life of more than 70 days and can reach depths of more than 250 meters. According to the Brazilian Navy, the new submarine is equipped with modern missiles, torpedoes and sensors. After the Tonellero was launched, it must also go through a testing phase to assess combat and navigation systems and maritime stability.
