Russia launches natural gas pipeline connection project in the Far East
The Russian Far East natural gas pipeline connection project started.
Gazprom announced on March 21 local time that it had begun the connection of the "Siberian Power" and the "Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok" natural gas pipeline.
Gazprom said that this is the first phase of the implementation of the eastern natural gas supply system trunk line construction project. The first thing to start in 2024 is the construction of the "Belogorsk-Khabarovsk" section with a total length of more than 800 kilometers.
The Eastern Natural Gas Supply System trunk line plans to comprehensively develop the natural gas transmission capacity of eastern Russia and further connect it with the natural gas infrastructure of western Russia to ensure a more reliable and diversified natural gas supply to domestic consumers in Russia.
