Recently, the launching ceremony of the 300 MW/600 MWh Independent Shared Energy Storage Demonstration Project in Yongren County was held in the Maila Industrial Park in Yongding Town, marking the official start of Yunnan's first independent shared energy storage demonstration project.

The Yongren County Independent Energy Storage Demonstration Project is the first batch of independent energy storage demonstration projects in Yunnan Province, with a total investment of 850 million yuan, a design power of 300 MW and a capacity of 600 MW. It is a lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage power station, equipped with a 220 kV energy storage booster station.

As the first supporting power supply for China Southern Power Grid Corporation to collect gigawatt pure photovoltaic transmission substation-500 kV Guanghui Substation.

After the project is completed and put into operation, the average annual discharge capacity is expected to be 180 million megawatt hours. It will provide capacity leasing services for 4 million kilowatts of new energy projects around the 500 kV Guanghui Substation, achieving an annual output value of 150 million yuan, which can effectively solve the problem of rapid new energy output. In order to promote the construction of the project, the Chuxiong Power Supply Bureau of Yunnan Power Grid Company organized and arranged special teams to participate in the entire process and provide coordination services throughout the process, and quickly completed preliminary work such as project grid connection opinions, site selection and line selection, access plan demonstration, and project approval.
