From March 19 to 21, the 2024 Second China Steel Pipe Industry Innovation and Development Conference was held in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, co-sponsored by China Metallurgical News, Jiangsu Province Energy Industry Association, Shanghai Steel Pipe Industry Association, and hosted by Jiangsu Yinhuan Precision Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., Nanjing Suxia Design Group Co., Ltd. and Dexin Steel Pipe (China) Co., Ltd.

Focusing on the theme of "specialization, specialization and innovation, empowering high-quality development", the conference aims to stimulate innovation inspiration, enhance consensus on high-quality development of the steel pipe industry chain, and help upstream and downstream work together to find innovative development strategies.

Qu Xiuli, vice president of the China Iron and Steel Association, and Wang Guodong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Northeastern University, attended the meeting and delivered keynote speeches. Qu Xiuli said that this conference's focus on "specialization, specialization, innovation" and "high-quality development" is very in line with the development trend of the industry. As the country's macro environment continues to adjust, the steel industry has achieved hard-won good results in the past year.:First, the national economy continues to improve, and steel production is generally stable; second, iron ore output has increased and resource support capabilities have been enhanced; third, as the market demand structure changes, the steel variety structure has also been continuously upgraded, and the pipe market demand continues to grow and has good prospects; Fourth, energy conservation and emission reduction efforts continue to increase, and green and low-carbon development continues to accelerate.

Qu Xiuli believes that the 5% economic growth target proposed in this year's "Government Work Report" and a series of other policies introduced are good for the development of the steel industry. Faced with the complex external environment, the steel industry needs to focus on the "1231" industry development goals and the "232" work promotion system, give full play to the advantages of the industry, adhere to green and low-carbon, unite and cooperate, overcome difficulties, practice new development concepts, and promote the industry Change and strive to create a new situation for high-quality development of the industry.

Wang Guodong said that digital transformation is a general trend in social development, and data has become the commanding heights of a new round of global industrial competition and a new variable that changes the international competition landscape. As a large-scale complex process industry, the steel industry is a major challenge faced by the steel production process. This has also stimulated the industry's urgent need for digital transformation. Rich application scenario resources are an important opportunity for the digital rise of the steel industry. It is recommended to give full play to the advantages of data resources and application scenarios in the steel industry, vigorously build the innovation infrastructure of steel enterprises, consolidate the digital base, use digitalization to empower green, high-quality, and strong-chain development, and create new productivity.

Zhou Feng said that the high-standard holding of this conference is not only an affirmation of Jiangsu Yinhuan's development strength, but also an opportunity for the national steel pipe industry to enhance exchanges and carry out practical cooperation. It opens a window for Yixing to understand industry trends and gather development resources.

Fan Tiejun said that steel pipe is the "blood vessel" of industry, is a key iron and steel material needed for the construction of national key projects and major equipment manufacturing, and plays an irreplaceable role in national economic development and industrial upgrading. In the past two years, under the condition that the crude steel output of the iron and steel industry is stable as a whole, the steel pipe output has maintained a rapid growth. It is believed that with the implementation of a series of policies to expand domestic demand and improve people's livelihood, the future application scenarios of the steel pipe industry will be richer. This year's "Government work report" proposes to vigorously promote the construction of a modern industrial system, speed up the development of new-quality productive forces, give full play to the leading role of innovation, promote industrial innovation through scientific and technological innovation, speed up a new type of industrialization, and improve total factor productivity, constantly shaping new momentum and new advantages for development. For China's steel pipe industry, one is to innovate and develop, the second is to develop green, and the third is to develop intelligently. Speeding up the development of intelligence is not only the inevitable path of manufacturing upgrading, but also an effective way to form more new growth points. With the continuous adjustment of the structure of the steel pipe industry, the demand for high-tech products is more obvious, and the demand for accelerating the development of high-end, green and intelligent is also more urgent. Xu Guoqun said that one of the current main tasks of the steel pipe industry is to persist in innovative development and structural adjustment, and promote the restructuring of the industrial chain. Chen Junde said that when General Secretary Xi Jinping participated in the deliberation of the Jiangsu delegation at the Second Session of the 14th National People's Congress, he delivered an important speech on developing new productive forces and promoting high-quality economic development, leading the steel pipe industry to "specialize, innovate, and high-quality development" The road points out the direction.

Zhuang Jianxin said in his speech:"In October 2022, President Chen and I communicated and agreed to do two major things in the development of steel pipe companies.:First, Dexin and Yinhuan jointly funded the establishment of the China Steel Pipe Craftsmen Fund to reward and commend craftsmen who have made contributions to the steel pipe industry and promote the spirit of craftsmanship; the second is to hold the first China Steel Pipe Industry Development and Innovation Conference to build the steel pipe enterprise conference.
