#Total social electricity consumption exceeded 15.3 trillion kWh from January to February

##Up 11% year-over-year

On the 20th, a reporter was informed by the National Energy Administration:From January to February, the total electricity consumption of the society was 15316 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 11%, of which the industrial electricity consumption above designated size was 14870 billion kilowatt-hours.

By industry, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 19.2 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 11.1%; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 952 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 9.7%; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 286.9 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%. The electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 273.5 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%.

During January and February, industrial production continued the upward trend of last year, the cultivation of new, high-quality productivity was accelerated, high-energy products increased rapidly, and drove a relatively rapid increase in electricity consumption in relevant industries.

Data released by China Southern Power Grid shows that the electricity consumption growth rate of high-tech and equipment manufacturing industries in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other provinces reached 16.9%, which is 8.8 percentage points higher than that of high-energy industries. Among them, electricity consumption in industries such as special equipment manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, computer communications and electronic equipment manufacturing all showed double-digit growth.
