On April 9, Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce, chaired the Round-table Meeting of Chinese Enterprises in Serbia in Valjevo, Serbia. More than ten Chinese enterprise executives participating in the cooperation in home appliances, auto parts, infrastructure, mining, steel, finance and other fields in Serbia participated in the conference. The delegates introduced the operation and development status of the enterprises in Serbia and put forward suggestions on deepening the economic and trade cooperation between China and Serbia.

In his address, Wang Wentao fully affirmed Chinese enterprises' active contributions to Serbia's economic and social development, and asked companies to fully appreciate the importance of deepening Sino-Serbian economic and trade cooperation, actively engage in the construction of landmark large projects and "small and beautiful" livelihood projects, take safety and risk prevention seriously, advance the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Serbia in a high-quality manner, and keep the bilateral economic and trade cooperation on the right track so as to continuously inject new vigor into the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Serbia. Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming participated in the round-table session.
