In recent times, the "two-way rush" between Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland has once again become a hot topic.

Data show that from March 28 to April 5, more than 8.7 million people entered and exited Hong Kong, with a daily average of about 960,000, an increase of about 43% year-on-year. On the Ching Ming Festival, the ports of Macao saw a 31.1% year-on-year increase in inbound and outbound passenger flow; from March 28 to April 6, the daily average of passenger and vehicle flow entering and exiting through the Zhuhai port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge exceeded 100,000 and 17,000, respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 167.8% and 145.1%, both reaching record highs.

There were surging crowds at the various ports of entry in Hong Kong and Macao; there were teeming crowds at airports and high-speed railway stations; and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was packed with traffic…

A surge in popularity led to a surge in "wealth". During this holiday, the number of takeaway orders placed by Hong Kong users on a certain catering platform in the Mainland jumped 32 times compared to last year; the number of transactions made using WeChat Pay by Mainland residents in Hong Kong tripled year-on-year.

These data depict a vivid picture of "smooth traffic, prosperous people, and abundant wealth".

On social platforms, it is no longer uncommon for people from Hong Kong and Macao to have exchange posts for eating, drinking and having fun in mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area. Their travel footprints have spread all over the motherland, as far as Xinjiang, Gansu, and Guizhou; their consumption scenes are no longer limited to catering or shopping, hiking, exploring museums, watching folk performances, and even visiting blind dates in the park have become "new postures". [(We are here to the great rivers and mountains of the motherland)](🤗

At the same time, Hong Kong and Macao's unique cultural and tourism resources, colorful cultural events, and continuously optimized reception environment all attract mainland tourists. City walks, outdoor tours, art exhibitions and concerts... Hong Kong and Macao tours are becoming more and more "deeper"; large-scale events such as the "Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival","Sea Fireworks Show" and "Macau Art Festival" are worthy of being "owned" repeatedly;"One place and two inspections","mobile payment","swipe code ride"... a series of convenient measures have filled the "happiness" of the travel experience.

The "northbound and southbound" movement between Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland has not only brought cultural and tourism exchanges and business growth, but also mutual learning and cooperation in the fields of science and technology, culture and art. As Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland continue to deepen their cooperation in transportation interconnection, policy docking, and industry integration, the wonderful story of this "two-way rush" will surely continue to be "updated".
