According to information from the Shaanxi Province Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision on April 8, Wang Junzhe, former deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of Xi'an International Studies University, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Shaanxi Province Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.

According to public information, Wang Junzhe was born in October 1960 in Baishui County, Shaanxi Province, with a master's degree and a professor.

In July 1984, Wang Junzhe graduated from Xi'an International Studies University and stayed there to teach. After that, he was transferred to the Shaanxi Province Higher Education Bureau (now the Higher Education Division of the Shaanxi Province Department of Education). He also served as the Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division of the Shaanxi Province Department of Education.

In February 2004, Wang Junzhe was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shaanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and in June 2011, he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology.

In August 2015, Wang Junzhe was transferred to the position of President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xi'an International Studies University, and in October 2020 he no longer served as President.

According to the official website, Xi'an International Studies University is one of the first four foreign language colleges established in New China. It is the only general university in Northwest China with complete major foreign languages. In 2011, it was listed by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province as a key high-level university for construction during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period.
