On the 16th, the Yangtze River Delta (Yancheng) Intelligent Connected Vehicle Test Ground, the first large-scale comprehensive closed intelligent connected vehicle test site in China that covers all scenario requirements for intelligent connected vehicles and autonomous driving capabilities testing, began operation.

The test site has a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan and covers an area of about 4000 acres. It has built 8 test roads dedicated to intelligent connected vehicles, a 32,000-square-meter laboratory, and supporting oil, electricity, hydrogen and alcohol four-in-one Integrated Energy Center. The test site is committed to building a world-class automobile R & D and testing cluster that can cover all scenario requirements for intelligent connected vehicles and autonomous driving capability testing, and at the same time meet all test capabilities of heavy commercial vehicles.
According to reports, the Yangtze River Delta (Yancheng) Intelligent Connected Vehicle Test Ground has the world's first and only real tunnel scene built in a closed vehicle test ground.

It can test the sensing, calculation, decision-making, execution and other functions of the intelligent networked vehicle when there is no GPS positioning signal and the network signal is blocked.

A Chinese-made flying car is undergoing flight testing at the Yangtze River Delta (Yancheng) Intelligent Connected Vehicle Test Ground. In addition, the straight section of the intelligent networked multi-lane performance road at the test site has a length of 2100 meters and a width of 24 meters. When combined with the intelligent networked high-speed ring road, it can reach 10 lanes. The test road also takes into account the testing requirements of future flying vehicles. In addition to meeting the testing needs of intelligent connected vehicles, it can also serve general aviation aircraft testing and help low-altitude economic development.
