According to The Guardian website on the date, American business magnate Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who once competed for the Republican presidential nomination, are inviting a group of Americans to join the proposed Department of Government Efficiency: these Americans are "revolutionaries with high intelligence and a belief in small government," willing to work more than 40 hours a week without pay.

The report states that, in a new post on social media (which is both a recruitment announcement and another attempt by Musk to stir up online controversy), the account of the proposed Efficiency Department wrote: "We don't need more part-time 'idea generators.' What we need are revolutionaries with exceptionally high IQs who support the small government concept and are willing to dedicate over 40 hours a week to the tedious work of cost-cutting."

The statement reads: "If you are such a person, please send your resume directly to this account. Elon and Vivek will review the top applicants."

Reportedly, in another post, Musk also joined the call. He wrote, "Indeed, it will be tedious work, make many enemies, and pay zero."

Musk previously pledged to cut US government spending by a trillion dollars, and he stated that this effort "will inevitably bring some temporary difficulties."
