According to a report by AFP on a certain month and day, a petition calling for the revocation of Elon Musk's Canadian citizenship has garnered over 10,000 signatures. The petition accuses Musk of attempting to "subvert" Canada's sovereignty.

The report introduces that this billionaire was born into a wealthy family in Pretoria, South Africa, and later immigrated to Canada with his mother, acquiring Canadian citizenship.

The petition, initiated on this month and day, states that Musk "has engaged in activities detrimental to Canada's national interests."

The petition states that Musk, a U.S. citizen and senior advisor to President Trump, has become "a part of a foreign government's attempt to subvert Canadian sovereignty."

Musk recently mocked the petition campaign on a social media platform, stating that "Canada is not a real country," but the post was subsequently deleted.

It is reported that Musk is a staunch supporter of Trump, who has repeatedly questioned Canada's sovereignty and claimed that Canada should become a state of the United States.

Charlie Angus, the Canadian federal Member of Parliament who initiated the petition, stated that this move "gives the public an opportunity to express their justified anger towards the expansion of oligarchs and extremist forces." He said, "People like Musk are enemies of our country."

The report indicates that while the petition submitted to the Canadian Parliament has no legal force, it may receive an official response from the government.
