On March 28, the National Development and Reform Commission held a signing ceremony for the strategic framework cooperation agreement for the cross-operating area DC transmission project of State Grid and China Southern Power Grid. Li Chunlin, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, and He Yang, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches. Xiao Weiming, deputy secretary-general of the National Development and Reform Commission, presided over the signing ceremony. Zhang Zhigang, Chairman of State Grid Corporation of China, and Meng Zhenping, Chairman of China Southern Power Grid Corporation of China jointly signed a strategic framework cooperation agreement between the two parties.

Li Chunlin pointed out that the Party Central Committee attaches great importance to national power interconnection, emphasizing the need to plan and build a new energy system and coordinate the promotion of mutual power assistance between provinces and cities. The signing of the strategic framework cooperation agreement between State Grid and China Southern Power Grid is a landmark measure to implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee.
