To further implement the relevant arrangements for the high-quality joint construction of the “Belt and Road”, strengthen energy and energy efficiency cooperation with ASEAN, and assist green and low-carbon development in Southeast Asia, the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation organized the 44th Green Innovation Exchange event on March 12th. This event was themed “Energy Transformation and Cooperation Potential of ASEAN Countries”. Experts from the following organizations participated in the research and discussion: Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC), “Belt and Road” Construction Promotion Center of NDRC, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Development Institute, Yunnan Green Energy Association, Guangxi Company of State Power Investment Corporation, Beijing Huatian Da Power Technology Application Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Caliada Energy-saving Technology Co., Ltd. Deputy Director of the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation Kang Yanbing and relevant comrades from the Department of International Cooperation attended the event.

Together with experts at the meeting, considering the new forms and new missions of the high-quality joint construction of "Belt and Road", the attendees conducted a research and exchange of views and analysis on the East Asian renewable energy development, energy transformation, energy conservation, and carbon reduction, and proposed relative work suggestions. In the next step, the National Energy Saving Center will continuously deepen the research work related to the energy transformation cooperation in East Asia, and contribute to the construction of China-East Asia Community of Shared Future.
