According to public information, Zhang Ping was born in August 1964 in Nanzhang, Hubei Province. He has worked in Guizhou for many years. He has served as deputy director and director of the Supervision Comprehensive Office of the Guizhou Province Commission for Discipline Inspection, deputy director of the Provincial Supervision Department, member of the Standing Committee of the Guiyang Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, deputy secretary of the Guiyang Municipal Party Committee, etc. In November 2016, he was appointed Party Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Anshun City People's Congress, and in January of the following year, he was appointed Director of the Standing Committee of the Anshun Municipal People's Congress.
