According to the official website of China Yangtze River Three Gorges Group Co., Ltd., on April 15, 2024, China Yangtze River Three Gorges Group Co., Ltd. held a meeting for middle-level and above managers. Relevant responsible comrades of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee announced the decision of the Party Central Committee on the appointment of chairman and party secretary of China Yangtze River Three Gorges Group Co., Ltd.:Comrade Liu Weiping was appointed Chairman and Party Secretary of China Yangtze River Three Gorges Group Co., Ltd. The appointment and removal of relevant posts shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of relevant laws and articles of association.
On the same day, the official website of China Datang Group Co., Ltd. reported that China Datang Group Co., Ltd. held an (expanded) meeting of the leadership team. Entrusted by the leadership of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the responsible comrades of the relevant cadre bureaus of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee announced the decision of the Party Central Committee on the appointment of the general manager of China Datang Group Co., Ltd.:Comrade Zhang Chuanjiang was appointed as director, general manager and deputy party secretary of China Datang Group Co., Ltd. Appointments to relevant positions shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of relevant laws and articles of association.
Before taking up his new post this time, Liu Weiping was deputy minister of the Ministry of Water Resources and a member of the Party Leadership Group. He is currently a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a member of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
According to the official website of the Ministry of Water Resources, Liu Weiping was born in November 1964, started working in August 1986, and joined the Communist Party of China in June 1992. He has a university degree and is a professor-level senior engineer.
Liu Weiping has long been engaged in the field of water conservancy and hydropower. From September 1982 to August 1986, he studied in the Department of Water Conservancy and Water Conservancy of North China Water Conservancy and Hydropower University, and worked in the first Engineering Bureau of the Ministry of Water Conservancy and Hydropower (later renamed China Water Conservancy and Hydropower first Engineering Bureau) since August 1986. He has served as an engineering technician and deputy section chief of Baishan Branch, chief of the engineering section of the first branch and project chief of Lotus Engineering headquarters. Chief engineer, Deputy Director, Executive Deputy Director and Director of the Construction Bureau of Songjiang River Power Station, Assistant Director of China Water Conservancy and Hydropower first Engineering Bureau, and Deputy Director of China Water Conservancy and Hydropower first Engineering Bureau in January 1999. Since November 2000, he has served as Deputy Director of the Department of Water Resources and Deputy Director of the Department of Construction and Management of the Ministry of Water Resources. Since November 2006, he has served as director of the Reservoir Resettlement Development Bureau of the Ministry of Water Resources, president of the General Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Planning and Design, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Water North Survey and Design Research Co., Ltd., Chairman of China Water Northeast Survey and Design Research Co., Ltd., and Director of the Department of Construction and Management. He was appointed Chief engineer of the Ministry of Water Resources in May 2017. He was appointed as a member of the party leading group of the Ministry of Water Resources in May 2021 and vice minister and member of the party leading group of the Ministry of Water Resources in June 2021.
Previously, Zhang Chuanjiang was deputy general manager and member of the party group of Datang Group. According to Ningxia Daily, Zhang Chuanjiang was born in 1968. He graduated from Daqing Petroleum Institute in 1990, and then entered the field of petroleum and coal chemical industry. He has worked in National Energy Group, China Shenhua Coal-to-Liquids Chemical Co., Ltd., Jingmen Petrochemical Plant and other companies. Since March 2020, Zhang Chuanjiang has served as chairman of Ningxia Coal Industry Co., Ltd. of the State Energy Group, and since July 2020, he has served as deputy general manager and member of the party group of Datang Group.
